Recommended for depicting urban dirt and clay grounds and terrains. Pigments are used for weathering and ageing the finish of vehicles, armour, fortifications and structures; they are ideal for creating the effects of accumulated dust, dirt, and mud produced by time and natural erosion.

Pigment FX are a range specially designed to represent effects of rust, accumulated dust, and dirt from the most diverse environments, dried mud carried by rain, or oil stains… the possibilities are as broad as your ideas, and their versatility sets no limits to your creativity.

Originating from iron oxides and natural earths, these are high-quality pigments, processed to facilitate various forms of application.

Use them dry, gently rubbing the surface of the model with a brush, or apply them to the model and fix them afterwards by adding a few drops of Vallejo Airbrush Thinner. You can also mix them with the same thinner to create mixtures of varying density, achieving that realistic effect of dust or dried mud on wheels or tank tracks.

Finally, if you want to create volume and work on interesting transitions, you can mix them with our Pigment Binder. This product dries slowly to facilitate blending effects, accumulations, or changes in shade by mixing various references.
