Nic Brown has recreated iconic moments in the life of the English Electric Lightning during its active service in the RAF and around the world. Combining his skills in both photography and graphic design, he has set the scene for this legendary jet fighter. Never to be seen flying across the UK skyline again, this calendar captures some of the Lightning's Cold War active service., from all weather QRA alerts through to its ground attack roles. The English Electric Lightning is still close to many aircraft enthusiasts' hearts and is still as popular as it was in its heyday.
In this calendar we present the Lightning in its variants and different squadron markings during its service, set against the forces of nature and dramatic cloud backdrops, offering a tribute to the legend that is still the English Electric Lightning.
