Used for painting vehicles and other equipment of the German Army from July 1937 until July 1940 as a complementary camouflage color to RAL 7021 Dunkelgrau (according to the official regulations; however, it appears that many military vehicles were painted in Dunkelgrau only already during the Polish Campaign). According to the army regulations RAL 7017 should cover 1/3 of vehicle’s surface in form of irregular patches with soft edges.
High quality lacquer based paint with a chemical formula superior to other brands in the market.
The Military Range covers both the aircraft and AFV colors from the 1930s to the present day. Many of them are referenced to the RAL, Federal Standard or British Standard color systems, whilst the others are based on the period color samples or reproduced original formulas.
Flows smoothly in an airbrush; adheres to the surface and dries perfectly with a soft finish. Holds firmly all kind of weathering products.
May be diluted with RC701/RC702 High Compatibility Thinner or other thinners intended for lacquer based paints.
